Wii Supported Video Formats
How I can put videos on an SD card and play on Nintendo Wii?
I do not know what format supported
Outside the box the Wii is not compatible with SD video playback. Wii uses a regular SD card for storage only, and saved game files and games purchased from the Shop Channel. A homebrew "or hacked Wii, can support an unlimited number of playback options, but only by reprogramming specifically for that purpose.
