Wii-gamecube A/V cables?

I currently have a wii. I want to get a gamecube (I know that sounds weird but…) the reason is because i want to be able to use the gameboy adapter for the gamecube. the one that lets you play GBA games on your big screen? Well, i know you cant do that on the wii, but my wii is plugged into a TV with an HDMI input. I don’t think HD TV’s were out when the gamecube was so i need to know if I can use the high-def cables from my wii on my gamecube? BTW when the HDMI was set up it bypassed the regular R/W/Y cables so they don’t work anymore. just sayin’

if you have a nintendo 64, then the A/V outlet (red, white, yellow cords) should work with the gamecube. thats what i use w/ mine, if that helped at all.
